The Scoop5 WAYS TO BEAT THE SUMMER SLOWDOWN

The summer season is upon us! We’re all looking forward to longer days, picnics, barbeques, vacations, and lots of time to daydream and relax! It may be tempting to want to pull back and put your business on hold until school starts in the fall, but doing so will cause you to miss out on some unique and fun opportunities.

How can you build your business this time of year while still maintaining family and life balance, and enjoying the summer season?

We’ve come up with five suggestions you can try over the next few weeks to help keep in motion and enter the busy fall and holiday seasons with momentum:

MAKE NEW CONNECTIONS

The summer season is a great time of year to meet new people. As you're vacationing or spending time at the
pool, park, or special events, make an effort to ask questions, learn who is who, and maybe collect some business cards and contact info. You’ll want to keep your connections social during this time of year, but someone you meet as a friend this month might become a new customer or team member in months to come.

STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS

When you’re busy growing your business during the year, you may not have time to check in with your customers and team members as often as you like. This is a perfect time of year to slow down, reach out, thank them for their business, and wish them all a happy summer. These types of interactions go a long way towards strengthening relationships and creating loyalty. (Should it come up in the conversation, be sure to remind them of the Tranont Summer Collection–it’s a great time to put favorite products on subscription.

GET ORGANIZED

Use the slower time when it’s too hot to go outside to get organized and complete logistical tasks that have been piling up—catch up on emails, update your database with new contact info, download new software, etc. Maybe you have contacts you’ve been meaning to follow up with? Reach out now to anyone who’s shown an interest in Tranont products or business opportunities and start setting appointments. Anything you can do now to help you feel more organized and productive will help build momentum.

CREATE SOCIAL CONTENT

During the summer months your customers and followers are online looking for inspiration, entertainment, information, and ideas. Look for opportunities to interact with them and serve them. Consider going live, posting more stories, or trying some newer features like reels. Simply sharing what you’re doing that day or how you fit Tranont products into your life helps people get to know you and your business better.

PLAN FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR

As you gear up for a fresh start in the fall, look back over the year and do a quick business evaluation. What were your highlights? Where can you improve? What activities lead to sales and business? What took up time, but didn’t add much to your bottom line? What lessons have you learned? What are you most proud of? Dig in and get a plan for the rest of the year in place before September 1!

Remember to enjoy this time of the year and take advantage of the many opportunities!
